Unfortunately for 2007 only one of our applicants was successful in the SD deer application process. That applicant drew a whitetail license and harvested the animal shown below. This was the only deer hunt conducted in 2007 on Crooked Creek Outfitter properties.

  Crooked Creek Outfitters offers firearm and archery mule deer hunting in Harding County, South Dakota, located in the northwest part of the state.

This land has an abundant habitat for mule deer hunting. There are also some whitetail, large herds of antelope, coyote, & prairie dogs.

All of our South Dakota guided mule deer hunts are either 2-on-1 or 1-on-1. Our rates include lodging, meals, in the field transportation, field dressing of game, transportation of game to processor and all applicable state and local taxes. Transportation from Rapid City Regional Airport can be arranged.
  • Taxidermy services are also available.

  • Not included: personal gear (see list below), processing fees, license, weapon, shells, or gratuities.

Rates for South Dakota Guided Mule Deer Hunts:

At the time you receive your license and book your hunt a 10% deposit is required. Money orders, cash, cashiers checks are accepted. NO credit cards. The balance is due upon your arrival. Hunt prices do not include hunting licenses, tag fees, game processing or storage costs.

Accommodations:

Lodging & meals are included with your South Dakota guided mule deer hunt. Our accommodations are located on the Harding County ranch or in Buffalo, South Dakota - just minutes from prime mule deer hunting.

Recommended Gear for Mule Deer Hunting:

  • Socks - mixture of heavy & light

  • Underwear - light & thermal

  • Hunting clothes - minimum two (2) changes

  • Boots - Two (2) pair, insulated and non-insulated

  • Personal hygiene items and required medications

  • Civilian clothes

  • Hunter Orange

  • Rain Gear

  • Coats - warm & light

  • Gloves - heavy & light

  • Binoculars & knife

  • Rifle or Archery Equipment
